The annual Women on Mission Spring Luncheon will be held on Saturday, April 14, with doors opening at 11 a.m.  This is a special invitation to join others in this fun and creative fundraiser for mission projects in Louisville, across Kentucky, the US and worldwide.

Tables will be decorated beyond expectations, winning decorators rewarded, door prizes given, a delicious lunch will be served by Gracious Plenty Catering, great music performed by The A Capella Fellas Chorus, and a silent auction filled with must-have goodies will be available.  Again, this year, we will accept your donations to round out our silent auction. New this year will be themed baskets filled with amazing items that you will want to bid on with an intention of winning.  Watch for a super big item that is new to our auction!

*decorate a table and express your creativity

*Purchase and fill a table of 8 ($200)

Each year, the proceeds from this event are distributed to worthy mission projects. These have included:

West End School,  Kristy Love Foundation, Cooperative Baptist Fellowship’s Extreme Build,  MedWater (water backpacks),

Partners in Development (water wells in Zambia), Parkland Boys & Girls Club and Olive Branch. Also, Broadway’s Youth Jubilate Choir, Wayside Homeless Ministry,  Scarlette Jasper (CBF),

The following women are being acknowledged for their hard work in over ten years of organizing this special event. They are taking semi-retirement this year, so we give a big Thank You to Susan Hodapp, Glenda Thomas, Phyllis McCoy and Carolyn Kays. Jeannie Wakefield has also served but will continue on this year’s committee with Donna Williams, Connie Rogers and Mary Lucy Hook.

So mark your calendars, begin planning your creative-to-win table decorations, invite your friends and family,  buy your tickets and put on your Derby hat to join us on April 14. The silent auction awaits, so bring your checkbooks!
