Youth group has a new meeting time (Sundays at 12:35 p.m.) which gives us more opportunities to serve in our community. On March 4 we had a hard-working group, wonderful chaperones, and beautiful weather as we worked in the outdoor science lab at Chenoweth. Thanks to all who participated!
The season of Lent is an ancient tradition of the Church. Beginning with Ash Wednesday, Christians across the world participate in a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal.
This year, we will experience Lent anew through the theme God of Wilderness and Water. We invite you to journey with us as we meet God in unexpected places.

This year, Robert Gammon accompanied a group of six youth, including myself, on the Jubilate Choir’s Summer Tour. Youth choirs from five churches gathered together in January to learn eight songs, and we performed them on a week-long trip.
The 2017 Jubilate Summer Tour begins at Broadway Baptist Church on June 6. The choir, made up of youth from church choirs around the Southeast, will gather on Tuesday for rehearsal and then sing a concert in our sanctuary on Wednesday night, June 7, at 7 p.m.
If your Sunday School class is not meeting this summer, there are still ways to get involved during the Sunday School hour. The Spiritual Formation Team has worked hard to create intergenerational Sunday School opportunities, and we hope you will find the Summer Service and Summer Seminars to be great ways to connect and stay involved throughout the summer. This is also a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend!
On Wednesday, May 3, the Pleasure Ridge Park High School Advanced Choirs will perform Mozart’s Requiem under the direction of Phillip Jennings in the Sanctuary of Broadway Baptist Church at 7 p.m. This concert is free and open to the public.
