A Message from our Interim Pastor

A Message from our Interim Pastor

In many ways, we are now entering the most challenging  period of the interim. By the time you read this article, the Ad Hoc Committee will have presented their recommendations to the Deacons who will have a month to think about and discuss the material before voting on their recommendation at the May Deacons’ meeting. This recommendation will come to the Church Business Meeting on May 23.

We are so Thankful for our Mission Partners!

We are so Thankful for our Mission Partners!

Did you know that 10% of your gifts to Broadway goes to Missions? One of our partners (and neighbors) in the community is Chenoweth Elementary.

In March, several Broadway members worked with Ebonne’ Ingram Jones (Family Resource  Coordinator) at Chenoweth to install a new shelving system and storage bins so Chenoweth can more quickly respond to needs within their school.

Thank you for your generosity and to everyone who helped!

Sparkle and Shine

Sparkle and Shine

June 2 - 9

You may have noticed the great work being done at Broadway thanks to our recent Capital Campaign. We also want to take the time to spruce up our space so we can be more welcoming and be good stewards of what we have. Beginning May 6, there will be suggestion boxes located around the church.  If you see a small project that could be done to help make our space a little brighter, please fill out a card and leave it in the box.

From the Deacon Chair

From the Deacon Chair

Dear Friends,

Reflections from this past month almost take my breath away. The continued opportunities for service and worship, the many activities that are occurring and the fellowship in which we all are engaged, leads me to know that we are a strong and vibrant church. Are we all that we can be?  No, but who is? This I know is true: we are a people following Christ and serving our Lord. Just look around, read the bulletin, check this newsletter-all ages have something that involves learning, leading, and serving.

Women on Mission Host Successful Spring Luncheon

Women on Mission Host Successful Spring Luncheon

The beauty and elegance of Lois Granger’s winning table, the whimsical rainy day nature of Teresa Gray’s flower vase boots and umbrella from the ceiling, and the sea-world creatures of Jean Sosnin’s creativeness, were three of the 23 tables dressed beyond imaginations and independently judged to be winners. Our musical guests were The A Capella Fellas. The lunch by Gracious Plenty Catering was delicious as always. The Youth of Broadway were servers, along with a few adults.
